Happy Summer Birthday Cards - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! Today I've got a couple of summery birthday cards using a new stamp and die combo from Simon Says Stamp, paired up with some fun pattern paper! I love the combo, and how unique it makes these cards! My oldest daughter celebrated her birthday yesterday, and with how much that girl loves beaches and sunsets, the card on the right was made for her. :)

I started off with the new Happy Duo set from Simon Says Stamp. That big cover die is so fun, and pairs perfectly with the smaller sentiments for a variety of occasions. I used some pattern paper from the Carta Bella Beach Town 6x6 paper pad to tuck behind it. This makes these cards have so much color and interest - I love how the scenes peek behind the big words! I heat embossed secondary sentiments in black on white cardstock to pop on the bottom. For a bit more fun, I die cut lots of little flowers from the Honeycomb Tag wafer die (they are just so cute!), layered them together, and then added some coordinating gems in Surf and Taffy to the centers of the flowers and clustered around them. Here are more photos of these finished cards:
